My Story
Curves saved my life in more than one way!

In May of 2008 I saw the 30-Day Avon Study and figured I would give it a try. I drive by the Curves in Sylvania, Ohio every day going to and from work, so I stopped in. When I walked in that first day I weighed well over 200 pounds! I was not happy with how I looked and felt. Cloths' shopping was a heart wrenching experience for me and I didnt want to live that way anymore. With two young girls at home, I didnt want them to remember me looking like that either.

The first month was hard to get in to the routine, but I stuck with it. After the 30-Day Avon study was done, I felt better about myself but had yet to see many results, but enjoyed working out with my Circuit of Friends. Just a few months later, in September, I joined the Six Week Solution diet program and continued my Curves work out. I began to see results at this time. Cloths were looser and the sizes that I could fit in began to go down!

When Christmas rolled around Curves saved my life for the first time. My husband of 11 years left me and my two daughters just days before Christmas. I was devastated. I had so many emotions going through me and the support I got from my Circuit of Friends as well as the staff and trainers at Curves kept me going through this rough time. I was able to work out my emotions on the equipment and then talk through them with my friends at Curves.

Since then, I have been consistently losing weight and inches from my former body. Just recently, I finally weighed less than I did on my wedding day over 11 years ago. I am wearing clothes that I couldnt fit in to since I was in high school. I have more energy and got my BMI (Body Mass Index) down to the normal range for my height! I have my life back, and it is all thanks to the Curves workouts and diet program.

I am not done though. I have lost over 50 pounds and still want to lose 25 more. When I started with Curves, 75 pounds seemed impossible for me to lose, but it is now within sight. I have to thank my friends at Curves for getting me 2/3 of the way to my goal, and I know they will celebrate with me when I achieve it.
They are a big part of my success!

"Kudos, kudos, kudos to you!!! When I read your testimony, it yanked at my heart strings and I felt your pain and rejoice in your successes!! Great job not only for you, but also, for your girls! My daughter, Lauren and I just finished our first workout at Curves two hours ago. We had a great time together and I think it's going to do both of us and our relationship some good. Take care, Sergeant Kimberly Jones"
