My Story
Wow! 203 pounds... is this scale correct? I have never been overweight, until now! I had gained well over 50 pounds. This was acceptable to me at first because i had just given birth. However, as time went by, the numbers on the scale hadn't changed and it had been a year since giving birth. It was at that point that i knew i had to do something in order to lose the weight. I wanted to become healthier and physically active. Moreover, it had always been a goal of mine to one day join the police force. In order to do that, i knew i needed to pass a grueling physical. At 203 pounds, this dream would not be possible. It was time to take action so that i could fulfill my dream and regain my self esteem. I visited many gyms and just didn't feel comfortable in any of them. Then i went to Curves at Brock Road in Pickering. From the moment i walked in the door they made me feel comfortable and were very motivating. I signed up immediately and have found the staff to be caring, knowledgeable and willing to help. I feel at home at Curves and never feel self-conscious about myself when working out. One year later, are you ready for this! Totaly inches lost: 48.25, total pounds lost 55.75, total body fat in pounds lost 40.82! I am nowproud to state my measurements of 37...31...40! Today, i feel physically fit, i look and feel great, my self esteem has returned and my goal of becoming a police officer feels real to me. I will be applying to the police force in the spring and i know Curves will remain in my life to help me obtain my goals.
