My Story
I have belongede to Curves for almost 2 years. I am 72. In Nov 2008 I had a kidney stone and developed uro-sepsis. To makea long story short, I was in ICU for 4 weeks and then TCU for 2 weeks. While in ICU I coded twice. All my organs shut down. The medicine they gave me saved my life, but it affected mt extremeties. Consequently, I have had to have all my fingers and a couple of toes amputated. It has been rough! After discharged i recovered for 3 months with my daughter and her family. Now I am back in my own home driving my own car, and using my own riding mower. During my recovery, i heard from everey doctor that the only reason I was still here is because I was in good shape. And they attributed it to my going to Curves. Asmy doctors discharged me, they all encouraged me to get back to exercising at CURVES. As of May 1st, I am back and using allo the machines. To make things worse, I had just lost my husband 6 months before.

"WOW Way to go Pat - You are a true inspiration to me - you have been through so much and still keep fighting to improve your situation. Sometimes I find myself always wanting to give up or give in because that's the easiest thing to do. Thanks for inspiring to stay focused and motivated."
