My Story
Hi, my name is June. My first workout at Curves was on Feb. 24, 2003. I joined Curves hoping that regular exercise would alleviate my pain and suffering from fibromyalgia. The weight and inches I have lost are simply a bonus for me. I had a relapse in 2005, but once again I worked through the pain, which brought me full circle into complete remission. My regular workouts at Curves has also permitted me to stop all medications for fibromyalgia since Jan. 2004. I was also able to stop my medication for type II diabetes in 2007. Today my blood sugar is normal.
My personnal commitment to curves now means that every day is a pain-free, diamond day for me ! After my 600th work-out, I set my goal at 1,000 workouts which I have achieved in Aug. 2007, two months after my 66th birthday. Now at 68, I still take my 10 minutes drive to my Curves every day for my 30 minutes of exercise on the Curves Smart Program. I consider my workouts better for me than any other medication. I am approaching my current goal of 1,500 workouts and my next goal will be to reach 2,000.
Thanks Curves Internatioanl for making my senior years GOLDEN.

"That is so fantastic, that because of exercise and the motivation to do it, you have gotten off all medication and are healthier then ever. I want to commend you for your excellent example. Age is a state of mind, and you prove it."

"Many people would have found the pain of fibromyalgia a reason not to exercise instead of a reason to do so. I am sure that what you have done was not always easy, but your effort has given you back a pain-free life. That is truly wonderful. Way to go!"
