My Story
I am one of Curves loudest cheerleaders. I will talk to women in the grocery check out line about Curves; show them my before and after pictures and explain how Curves has helped me to lose wieght and improve my life. I joined Curves when I was 47 years old & my body was a total wreck. I was over 100 lbs overweight and I could hardly go up or down stairs & each step was painful. I was headed for knee replacement & knew I was much too young for that type of surgery to be in my future. I was taking daily prescription medication for arthritis. A friend told me about Curves. I joined after my first visit & by my third visit I stated to everyone that I would a "Lifer" at Curves. Curves was exactly what I needed & had been searching for. I have utilized both the calorie counting & carb counting weight loss plans that Curves has to offer. I was successful at both plans. It took me four years to lose 100 lbs. at Curves, averaging approx 25 pounds pounds weight loss per year. I have lost a total of 109 lbs. at Curves and have kept the weight off for 4 years. I am like "Norm" on the old Cheers show. I walk into Curves & everyone knows my name and says, "hi". I always make a point to welcome new members, share my success story with them & encourage everyone to keep comimg to Curves. Exercising at Curves helps not only physically, but mentally & emotionally. I have developed several sayings during my years at Curves, one of them is, "It always feels good, to be done at Curves".
