My Story
My journey with Curves began on June 19, 2008 when I registered for the Avon/Curves Fitness Study. I had been searching for a new way to try to lose weight, and kept hitting dead ends, that is, until I came to Curves. The support system at Curves is what I have been searching for all along. When the Curves Smart program started, that was the extra boost I needed to help me hold myself accountable even more. The new weight management/eating plan helped even more to produce results that I am extremely proud of. I have been overweight for most of my life, and it has been a struggle to try to lose it and keep it off. I still have a long journey ahead, but I know I'll get there. So far this year I have reached two goals. The first was to fly and NOT have to use a seat belt extender. I flew to Vegas in April with NO seat belt extender needed. My next goal was a 5K. Well, Saturday June 13, I walked/jogged in the 5k makeover marathon. I completed it in 51 minutes and 7 seconds. I also walked/jogged another 5k on Saturday, July, 4th and completed it just under 47 minutes! I would have never been able to do this a year ago.
I keep looking ahead with the determination and strong will to reach for the stars, and I know I can do anything I set my mind to. Thanks Curves!
