My Story
It may be too early to be writing this--we'll see, but I am charged up about the new approach to the Curves weight Management plan!
I have difficulty losing weight, I think because I spent the first third of my life trying to GAIN weight. I have no patience with diets and if I don't lose in the first day or so I give up. Of course this has gotten me nowhere!
I have always believed Curves developer Gary Heavin had the right idea of increasing metabolism while dieting so that ultimately you only diet when you gain back 3 pounds, and that takes longer and longer to do. However, I think their new approach to teaching this program is excellent.
I decided to give it a try when the new program came out. I was amazed to find that I lost weight at about 1 1/2 to 2 pounds a week during Phases 1 and 2 (4 weeks). Two weeks into Phase 3 I was still down 6 pounds for an average loss of 1 1/2 pounds per week--the perfect amount to change your eating habits and maintain your loss. So far I have not regained 3 pounds during my Phase 3. I plan to start the cycle over again and see if I get the same results. If so--I should reach my goal weight within a year. AND be able to keep it off! What a great program! Thank you Curves!
