My Story
Involvement and committment are the key to success at Curves, and in life. I have been a member only a year, but I jumped right in and participated in all the great programs that Curves offers. "Camp Curves" was lots of fun. I made a "Vision Board" for our team. It was made up of inspirational pictures and quotes from magazines, and displayed in Curves during the "Camp Curves" competition. I also wrote a song for our "30 minute divas" team. It is sung to the tune of Yankee Doodle Dandy. It goes like this...I'm a 30 minute diva, 30 minutes do or die. Born and raised on hot apple pie; I'm workin' it off in July. Got some cute clothes in my closet... soon they'll fit me once again. Drink more water, do the circut, say no to the french fries. Keepin' my eye upon the prize. Because of our attendance and effort, my "30 minute Divas" team won the "Camp Curves' challenge, and many of us got prizes. I'm proud to say that I won the best prize of a Cuves bag and a $50.00 gift certificate that I used for Curves merchandise. After that, I was so inspired, that I took the Curves weight management class. It was very informative, and is very managable for everyday living. I recommend it to all Curves members. Currently, I am participating with my Curves team members in the "Relay for Life." I raised $140.00 from my friends and family, donated a basket to the Auction that sold for $50.00, and I'm now having a friend donate a case of wine from his company for our final auction. I also donated $40.00 of my own, because I am equally committed; even though my family and myself have been spared from the ravages of cancer. I know that none of us can rest easy, until a cure is found. Curves is great to educate members on so many healthful ways of living. I hope that someday, there is a "Curves Institute" that educates and empowers people to set up educational programs in schools and communities. When that happens; I want to be a partipant. Sincerely, Janice Randolph
