My Story
I HAVE LOST 25 POUNDS IN ONLY 3 MONTHS!!!!! My dress size has been cut in HALF from a size 12 to a size 6. I have gone from wearing size large to size small!!
I joined Curves as part of a 30-day fitness study intending to go for one month, lose a few pounds, and then walk away. I was trying to get in shape for summer and was not intending to join long term. I was pleasantly surprised by my results and even more surprised by how much I enjoyed going to Curves to work out. I was the "Biggest Loser" in pounds and inches for the month of April and I think I have a good shot at it again for May! Curves has done so much for me in such a short time. I have surpassed my original weight loss goal and am continuing to lose weight. I feel much stronger and more toned. I have so much less fat on my body than I did 3 short months ago. I have more energy, I am not as tired during the day as I used to be, I am sleeping better, my mood is better, and I am much more active with my husband and my 4 children. Myself and my husband have changed our eating habits for the better. He has been a wonderful support and he too has been exercising, eating healthier and losing weight. All of my clothes have become too big for me and I have been digging through my closet for my smallest clothes that I have not worn in years. I am fast approaching the weight that I was in high school! We are going on a big trip this summer and I am looking forward to buying myself a new wardrobe!
Needless to say I am now a regular member of Curves and work out on a regular basis. I try to go 3 or 4 times every week and I exercise at home on the days I am not at Curves. I thought I would not want to go in June or when the weather became warm but I was wrong! I look forward to going and hate it if I miss 2 days in a row! The Curves staff and the other members have been both motivating and inspiring. It really can become a lifestyle and not just a quick fix!
