My Story
At the beginning of the year, most TV stations were going wild on losing weight. New Year's resolutions were being discussed; but the thing that stuck in my mind most of all was the "health issues". I realized that I had to do something about my weight before I ran into any complications, e.g. High Blood Pressure, Diabetes, etc.

The other thing that challenged me was visiting the Nursing Home and seeing people my age and younger who could not get up and walk. I kept telling myself that cannot happen to me even though I am overweight. Then I saw two people at the Nursing Home who suffered a stroke trying to get up and walk, but could not do it. I decided that I would have to start looking after my self and so I decided to join Curves and that's the best thing I have ever done.

I joined Curves in December of 2008 and got really discouraged with the pain in my right knee. I decided to quit, but Melissa (thank God for her) said they could work out a plan for me wich they did. I also started eating healthy and I walk almost every day. Since December, I have lost 28 pounds and I am feeling a whole lot better. I am not dieting, but I am making healthy choices. This is a lifetime change for me.

One more thing that makes me feel good - I can start shopping at a regular store.
